Borax = the key to a fantastic eco-friendly & economical all-purpose cleaner

I have discovered the most fantastic cleaner!  It is not only eco-friendly but economical and I have everything on hand.  1 C White Vinegar, 1 C Borax, and 1 tsp of  Daw dish washing detergent and stir up and add to a bucket of water (I usually fill a spray bottle before I do anything else at this point).  I use the spray bottle to disinfect kitchen sinks and  countertops as well as bathroom toilets, tubs, and sinks.  Then I use the bucket of water to clean my floors.  This cleaner does such a great job and leaves everything sparkling clean and smelling fresh.

Did you know that Borax is good for all kinds of household chores?  

* use to pre-soak stained clothing before washing.

* use as a laundry booster by adding 1/2 cup to every load along with regular detergent to help remove stains, as a natural alternative to bleach, to deodorize nad freshen, and naturally soften hard water.

* use to clean garbage disposals and drains by sprinkling 2-3 tsp in drain and letting stand 15 minutes before flushing with water.

* use to deoderize carpets & rugs by sprinkling on before vacuuming.

* boost the cleaning power of your dishwashing detergent by adding 1/4 c to your load.  Also, removes spots and film from dishes & glasses.

* sprinkle on baked on greasy mess to clean pots & pans.

* use the mixture described above to clean microwaves, ovens, and refrigerators.

* spinkle on mattresses and vacuum to freshen.

* use the mixture described above to clean outdoor patio furniture.
